The Tree Planting Ceremony

This unique Unity Tree Planting Ceremony symbolizes the joining together of two individuals or the joining to two families. Just like the unity candle and unity sand ceremony.

The ceremony is conducted similar to other unity ceremonies. Beginning with a small table being set up near the altar.
A symbolic meaning for the joining together of both families would be before the start of the service for the mothers to make their way to the table and each scoop a small amount of dirt into the tree/sapling pot. They would then take their seats.

Officiant: “Bride and Groom, will now join together to take part in a Tree Planting Ceremony, to symbolize the roots of their relationship, and the continued growth of their love, as they become each other’s family today.
